No Fair!
That BB gun was supposed to be Ralphie's present.
Give the fellow a break.
At least he shops local.
Excuse my ignorance
But how the (expletive) was he not charged with armed robbery?
Because that’s not how the
Because that’s not how the law is (expletive) written.
He’s a burglar not...
.. a robber.
He isn't either actually....
Just a thief.
This will be interesting to watch
This walks a line on DA Rollins' list.
She includes larceny under $250, while this charge was $1200.
She also includes receiving stolen goods.
Hard to say what she'll think about the Gun since it's a bb gun.
Great job, BPD. But my bet is this guy walks free.

The only thing that could
The only thing that could stop a thief with a BB gun is... Ralphie with his official Red Ryder carbine-action, 200-shot, range model air rifle... with a compass in the stock.
That's a crazy risk, no?
Running around with a very real looking fake gun? Sure, it's good to use on people who are unarmed but someone with a real gun, like say a responding police officer, would presumably be much more likely to perceive you as a deadly threat and react accordingly.
gee
that’d be a shame...
...for the shooting officer who has to deal with the aftermath
He stole things.
He wasn’t bright.
His death would still be a sorrowful result of both.
Play stupid games
Win stupid prizes
lots of truly stupid people
manage not to live a criminal life
Some of those
Are given every advantage in life, go on to achieve very high positions, and STILL can't resist being criminals.
Great YouTube videos
There are some great youtube videos out there about creative people putting fake packages on their doorstep. Somebody in Dorchester needs to step up.
