Not exactly fine: Waits, rain on Red Line
By adamg on Wed, 12/11/2019 - 8:51am
The T isn't announcing any official Red Line delays, but as Jennifer Helfer discovered at Porter Square, just because a train pulls into the station doesn't mean you can get on it.
Meanwhile, Ryan provides some video of the water pouring into one Red Line car from Braintree this morning:

Blue Line too
The Blue Line was a disaster too. Major delays. For the second time this week, Monday was bad too. But the T is always a disaster on Monday mornings.
Adam, do you know if Charlie
Adam, do you know if Charlie Baker reads Universal Hub every day? HE SHOULD!!!
Charlie is not the problem. It's those who vote for Charlie
I think Charlie doesn't read UHub and doesn't care. Charlie has proved over and over again that he just doesn't care as long as he can save money and appear to be "fiscally responsible". Charlie is aware of the problems but just doesn't care because the voters keep voting for him for some reason I will never understand.
My suggestion. Vote against him. (He has made some noise about running for a third term). Vote for candidates who actually care and will fund the T, and ideally candidates who , if they live in the T service area, actually ride the T.
He doesn't...
... Because Governor Baker doesn't acknowledge the T, except to criticize it.
Kinda nice, having the Staties drive you from-n-to Swampscott every day.
Missing buses, too
I waited for 40 minutes while the MBTA didn't bother to run express buses or put out alerts on the line.
EVERYTHING IS FINE!
Magoo sez
Well shiver me whiskers. Another delay on the MBTA. Magoo suspects Charlie is hiding in a pile of hay somewhere west of four ninety fay. Magoo.
Do you man
The fact that people here hate you means you're doing something right.
Everybody who finds this
Magoo character to be exceedingly tiresome, give me a thumbs up.
Not exceedingly
Just regular tiresome.
no
usez for magoosez. his posts make me want to punch myself in the junk
So, ignore him/her. If Adam
So, ignore him/her. If Adam allows it, so be it.
Lots of people's posts here annoy me. So what?
Why don’t we Require
State officials to ride the T a certain number of times per month?
Because this is America and
Because this is America and people are free to choose how they get around.
The MBTA, generally, has a lot of problems, which need fixing.
To be more exact, the entire MBTA needs a very serious overhaul. Let's hope that Charlie Baker allows that to happen.
No, the MBTA needs to be
No, the MBTA needs to be allowed to function for more than three months without changes to senior leadership or major re-prioritizations. Why do people think that "overhaul! fire them all!" is some sort of magic solution to everything?
Just look at the Cleveland Browns: overhauling themselves every other season for the last 20 years, and famously successful, right?
