I've been noticing reduced plowing and salting on interstates this year, and not just in MA; I had a harrowing drive home from Manchester, NH a few weeks ago. This is the feds' responsibility, right? Has DOT's budget been cut along with everything else?

Interstate plowing has been horrible-to-nonexistent in MA for as long as I can remember. It may be funded by the Feds, but they're not hiring the drivers and sending them out on the road. I can remember driving back from NH in a blizzard when I-95 was basically clear and navigable up to the MA state line, at which point the road looked like it hadn't been touched by a plow or a grain of salt. This was 20 years ago and it wasn't the only time I noticed this complete lack of concern for public safety on the part of the MA highway department (or whoever's job it is).
That's horrible, no matter when it occurred.

There's just no excuse for this kind of neglect, especially when there's a blizzard going on. There's no excuse for lousy snowplowing anywhere, either.

1. Systems that have received more money under Baker since the last administration. South Coast Rail, Green Line Extension, I-90 in Allston, Logan Airport. Systems that have received less money under Baker since the last administration. I-90 outside Allston, I-93, I-95, I-495, I-91, Red Line, Blue Line, Existing Green Line, Orange Line, Existing Purple Line (Commuter), every airport other than Logan. Every ferry system. Anything else that exists in Mass

I came through an hour earlier, at 6:30pm, the snow was just starting to stick and there were 3 spin outs already shortly before the 95 exits. There was another spin out on 95 and 10-15 minutes later almost the whole surface was snow-covered except for the tire ruts.
