Ain't no public-health emergency big enough to stop Massholes from Massholing

Michael Ratty reports he was out with his young daughter this morning:

I just got yelled at (while pushing Millie in the stroller) for not crossing the street *fast enough* so I am happy to report that human behavior in Boston has not changed.

But anyone with a child get a pass.

And grow up. Being in a car does not make you special or important.

Wow, what happened to civility on this board? Swirly girl, you need to relax. I think someone else needs to grow up if they are that offended by a clearly satirical post.

It is basically threatening someone with a deadly weapon, not funny.

"go fuck yourself" as a comeback. Isn't fucking oneself just masturbation?

How about lazy drivers who yell at pedestrians. Someone sitting on their fat lazy ass is the last person who should talk about how fast someone is moving. Heart disease will be their just reward

Don’t boggart the crosswalk , slow poke

Even if I have the right of way when a car is waiting for me, I always hustle. Just being helpful to the fellow commuter. Obviously this gentleman didn't care and was going at a snail's pace, which is aggravating.

How do you know the walker “didn’t care” or how slowly they were actually walking?

I hope all these people are joking trolls. There should be a special hell for people that think pedestrians are slow. It should be in the same circle as the people that expect a thank you for not running you over.

It's SO obnoxious to see a person walk so slow at an intersection when the car is waiting for them. I think it's more of a "Disease of Me" thing in society, where there's no sense common courtesy.

The disease of you is that wants to be the center of the universe. The car isn't waiting for them, the driver is observing state law.

is obvious. Don't feed them.

There is no minimum speed limit for people in a crosswalk.
No one is required to hustle because someone else wants to move.

won't someone think of the person in the climate-controlled padded seat with a built-in entertainment system. How will they ever stand being aggravated for a whole 15 seconds?

i subconsciously move my arms in a jogging motion while remain walking.

Amazing!

... didn’t change after 911 either.

Never use a crosswalk if you can avoid it. Too dangerous.

...smh...

is lucky no one deliberately aimed their car at him and the stroller.

I once saw a _police car_ do that, on Cambridge Street near what is now Whole Foods.

He shoulda stopped walking, checked his watch or phone, responded to a text, look around the front of the stroller to see if bambino was doing well, thumbs up and then got back to crossing...

Learn it and hustle!! Babies have no excuse either.

I've been yelled at by speeding drivers while in the crosswalk (and I don't walk slowly, hell I'm trying to get to my destination too) but I have to pause for a quick second to peek at the opposite direction to make sure no one is speeding up that side, which they often are. Sometimes huge delivery trucks block the crosswalk so it's hard for drivers or pedestrians to see if someone is crossing or if a car is coming. The thing that kills me is when people are in such a hurry they blow right past then I see them stuck a little bit away at the red light. Like, asshole, you could have mowed me down in the crosswalk (as is my right, I was in the crosswalk BEFORE you came barreling down) just to rush to your red light?

The human spirit endures.

This is when you stop walking mid crosswalk and throw up the FU finger. Oh and then start texting. Drives them crazy. When someone goes low go lower.
