Roslindale farmers market to re-open for the season on Saturday, but with major limits on both vendors and shoppers

Roslindale Village Main Street is announcing that the Adams Park farmers market starts up again this Saturday with "a new grab-and-go format with pre-packaged essentials" and other Covid-19-related changes:

Only 15 vendors will be allowed to set up shop during the market, which will run 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays through November and only 45 shoppers will be allowed in the park at one time, with limited entrance and exit points. Only vendors will be allowed to handle the produce until a shopper pays for one of the pre-packs. Everybody inside the park, both farmers and customers, will be required to wear facial coverings. Hand-washing stations will be installed.

Pre-ordering where possible is suggested.

In a statement, RVMS Executive Director Alia Hamada Forrest said:

We will miss the live music and the children’s activities this year, and we look forward to a time where we can bring back this beloved community gathering that our farmers market has become.

Roslindale has many fine qualities, but being open late is not among them. Fixed.

Like they did back in the day? Seems like a good way to accommodate more people and get some walk by traffic for the village bricks and mortar businesses?

Addendum: I mean in addition to Adams Park. Since it's all business operated stands, I am picturing a wider spread event.
