From my home I had a great view of the various brightly colored blimps stacked up at assigned altitudes over Fenway. My then toddlers watched it for a long time, as toddler attention span goes, then noticed that they all scooted off and scrambled.
That's when the flyover came (I knew it was coming as the time had been announced so I could warn them of LOUD). It rattled everything in the house - rather low altitude as these things go!
Then the "fish" resumed their colorful fishbowl orbits around the park.
Was that the same year they had the horrible doctored video of fireworks and/or flyover on the TV broadcast - impossible reflection angle on the windows of the .406 Club level?
Someone got Suffolk County confused with Boston... I was so confused by this map until I realized that. Brookline is cut out of the map which makes it even more confusing until you remember they are a different county.
Although I'm still trying to figure out how straight this line really is. I kind of wish they didn't trust a high school intern to draw up this flight path. Especially since it's really a full deviation away from past flight plans that have had planes start at Hanscom , come down , loop and land at Logan. It looks like maybe they are taking off from Portland , shooting down before heading on towards NYC and Philly.
Yes but his comment was on the map... "Boston" is shaded but that's actually Suffolk County. I also pulled out a map of Boston and this line does not cover that route, it's way off.
The military has a great public affairs operation, but if the maps came out of the NORTHCOM Public Affairs office, its likely someone stationed in Colorado made the graphics for the press release. Granted people in the military come from all over, but they still may be from the other side of the country and have never visited our fair city.

I just heard them flying by, but couldn't see them. Glad I knew in advance what it was.
Gotta admit..
...not a fan of government waste or military pageantry, but the "Stealth" bomber is an impressively fearsome sight.
