Is that Bigfoot? Great work on enhancing the image quality, BPD!

Seriously though, wasn't there an old guy brushing away BLM chalk in Watertown a few weeks ago? Pretty sure there was a clearer pic of that person (who was also an older white dude).

you have to be a different kind of cop, one who's willing to break all the rules. It helps if you are also an alcoholic and have a dead wife.

Don't forget to uncrop.

It is a Mass dot fence....

Who is the vandalizer? The artists? The erasers? Both? Neither? Was the public property defaced when Black Lives Matter was written on it or when it was erased?

Is the city exercising investigatorial discretion based on the content of speech being contrasted here?

I see this approved art installation from a couple years back.

Does not appear to be the same as above. But certainly similar.

Some of the letters from the longstanding art you’re referencing were moved to the left some weeks back to form the BLM statement. Whether that was officially approved or defacement, dunno.

For about a year , there was spray painted on a wall in Salem on rte 107. "God bless America and everyone else " a couple of months ago the "God bless America and everyone else " was painted over and BLM graffiti now occupies the wall. It is educational to see the mindset of the BLM revolutionaries.

As the "logic" of MAGAts.

Graffiti gets redone all the time. It isn't about you.

Approved murals are different.

Your inability to tell the difference is educational, but sadly you aren't the one being educated.

My point, Graffiti was crossed out, and BLM graffiti was put up beside it. What did they hate about the old graffiti, the "god"part or the "bless America " or the "everyone else" part.
Your small mind, mentioned "MAGA" , I have no idea were you are going with that. The reason we often go to Lynn, is my wife has a lot of family living there. Many are union members, vote Democrat always. They are disgusted by what the BLM revolutionaries did. You need to leave your very small bubble. I recommend moving to lynn, it would be educational for you.

I sense a "well now those awful BLM revolutionaries have lost MY support" flounce, only at third hand, presuming to speak for your wife's family members. This is a classic hollow threat, since anyone who would be spurred to non-action by "BLM graffiti" was never going to act in the first place.

"Graffiti gets redone all the time. It isn't about you."

And when it does, how often do you see the police looking for the people who painted over it?

I'm receiving from watching a post/911, hyper-macho, dangerously insecure and xenophobic subset of our society descend into an extreme blindly patriotic Fascist cult of racists, misogynists, and science deniers as their demographic slowly shrinks and loses it's hold on the nations power.

They should be dragging most of the old white men from the Irish Riviera out of their homes at gunpoint out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the community.

Hopefully, Me-maw and Pa-paw here don't resist arrest and just let the cops do their job.

It would be nice if we saw this kind of wanted photo for a shooting suspect in Boston.

up

That usually requires having wanted photos. If they had them, I don't think they would be sitting on them.

When the Boston cops have video of a suspect they post it. Most of the shootings happen in places without cameras and where people don't trust the police enough to say what they know.

Your assumptions, omnipotent/white opinion is part of,if not thee PROBLEM. Cameras are prevalent, cheap and in more black/brown neighborhoods than you think. It's not about trusting the police it's about not trusting the whole, damn institution ie the cops that don't look like you,nor seem to like YOUR kind and the barbaric, inhumane, oppresive system they represent.

Scrolling through the comments it looks like it's not a wall but a wire fence with wooden cut out letters affixed.

according to this sign which I photographed on the site in 2018. The letters are mounted on a chain-link fence separating Lincoln Street from the Mass. Pike.

I wish street crime, graffiti, and screaming urinating drunks were given this much attention when I lived there. My apartment was broken into 3 times. I witnessed junkies shoot up on the stoop across my former apartment. I would call the cops and was lucky if I got a response. Oh and 1 junkie attacked my former roommate as well. With gentrification lower Allston has become less diverse and the newer residents make a lot more $$$ then my former neighbors. A more honest sign is Get out poor working class people and make way for private Universities.

Oh this is easy, vandalism is vandalism, whether Black Lives Matter or God Save the Queen.

A vandalism charge seems about right but I'm sure his lawyer can argue he thought it was graffiti.

I knew that site looked familiar. I stopped here in March 2018 and took photos of this at night.

It was supposed to be removed in November 2019, but apparently wasn't.
