Mystery solved: The chopping lady on those Jeanne Shaheen ads

Lady with a tub

Chopping tub lady in the foreground.

Ah, New Hampshire: The state so small its residents mostly watch Boston TV stations, so we get to see all their political ads. Lately, Jeanne Shaheen has been showing up on our local airwaves almost as much as concerned Ed Davis, walking through some kitchen-type place and pausing to smile beneficently upon some lady with two metal chopper/spatula things and a large metal bowl of, hmm, what is that stuff and what is she doing to it?

Our own eagle-eyed Kaz made out the logo on her apron and reports it's that of Maple Nut Kitchen, a Keene, NH company that makes granola, so she's probably mixing up a good heapin' helpin' of granola.

Ten-Speed Mike confirms that is exactly how you make granola.

All of the land and most of the water is in Maine, more specifically its Route 1 in Kittery. Ah, Moo Hampshire politics.

And no, I can't track it down, but I read somewhere that she cut an ad where she highlights her opponent's past fandom of the Denver Broncos.

That's the bridge from Portsmouth, NH to Kittery, ME. I'd have to see the commercial again to determine which side of the Piscataqua River is shown.

Work.

Many are unfamiliar with it. Especially those who fear female politicians will chop their nuts, cut their meat, etc.

When I first saw the ad, my guess was granola.
I had no idea this was such a big deal, maybe I could have won a contest. ;-)
I'll have to check them out next time we're in Keene.
