Lining up in Roslindale

Line at the Conley School on Poplar Street in Roslindale

Michelle McCarthy got in line to vote at the Conley School in Roslindale shortly before 8 a.m. She reports it took about 40 minutes from the corner of Dale and Poplar to get inside to vote.

At a nearby polling place, the Mozart School, the traditional bake sale is outside this year.

My daughter texted me at 7:45 this morning saying that she had already voted and was #152 at her polling place in Brookline!

We are totally voting him out, in Mass. Unfortunately, for us, our votes don't really matter, especially with those two inconsequential ballot questions.

Let's hope that turns out to be "en masse", nationwide.

Was just down by the square, no external line at St Neks.

What's wild is that even with the huge early voting turnout, mail-in ballots, etc.... I bet $10 of U-Hub bucks that Roslindale doesn't crack 50% turnout.

a week ago this past Friday evening, by filling out my ballot, going over to City Hall, and depositing my filled out ballot into the Vote Drop Box that was right outside on the City Hall concourse.

We were in and out within 20 minutes, which for me (who usually doesn't vote that early on Election Day) was long, but certainly less than 40 minutes. And yes, I had a means of knowing that it was less than 20 minutes- I was treating this as exercise, and I paused the stopwatch upon entering the schoolyard. It bings every 10 minutes paused, and it only did that once.

They were well organized. They reduced the number of people inside for the obvious reason, with 2 poll workers keeping things running from outside. It's tough, as there are 2 precincts at the school.
