By adamg on Mon, 11/09/2020 - 9:42am
Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Jeveli's is closing tomorrow and that whether it's going into "hibernation" for the winter or whether it's closing for good is unknown. The restaurant has been serving basic Italian fare since 1924.

Oh no!!!
I love this place. Its a total time warp and its such a treat to take my family there. I really hope they come back
Sad to see Terminal J go away.
All the best.
Growing up in East Boston, I
Growing up in East Boston, I always thought to myself why is Jeveli spelled with a J instead of a G, What kind of Italians are they? spelling their last name with a J.. It really should be Gioveli or Giovelli or Gevelli .
An Institution!
As a lifelong East Boston resident I am sorry to here this. Jeveli's was one of those places that was simply "always there" and seemed impervious to time and changes. Until this pandemic came along and destroyed everything in it's path.
Gentrification
this the the start of the downfall of Italian culture in East Boston. The same happened in Southie, Charlestown and Dorchester. Established restaurants are the first to go.
"start"?
"start"?
Shift started years ago, methinks.
