Boston Police report arresting a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old on charges they shot at somebody on the Southwest Corridor behind Boston Police headquarters around 6 p.m. yesterday.
Fortunately for their victim, both proved horrible shots and missed, police say.
The arrest of Keshaun Davis, 20, of Jamaica Plain, comes seven months after he and two 17-year-olds were charged with stealing the tip jar from Santia's Bakery on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain.
Police say that yesterday, Davis and a Roxbury teen, too young to be named, split up when officers arrived to investigate reports of gunfire in the park, one running across the street towards Roxbury Community College, the other towards the Roxbury Crossing T stop.
Police say officers found the kid, apparently exhausted from his run across and down Tremont, leaning over a car whose driver had stopped for a light.
The officers asked the operator to move the vehicle a few feet forward, and as the vehicle moved, officers heard the clank of an item hitting the ground. Officers looked down and observed a firearm. The firearm, a black Jiminez Arms Nine 9mm Firearm, was loaded with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine.
Down at Roxbury Crossing, police say, officers found Davis sitting in the first car of an Orange Line train.
The male was sitting with is hands on his lap, holding a balled-up jacket. He was wearing a red sweatshirt, and had a yellow string coming from a yellow bandana that was tucked behind his neck. As the officers approached and asked him to stand up, he hesitated. Two officers, each taking hold of one arm, stood him up and as they did so, the male dropped the jacket that was in his lap. When the jacket hit the floor, officers heard a loud noise. Upon picking up the jacket, officers felt what they believed to be a firearm. The firearm, a Taurus Spectrum .380. was loaded with one round in the chamber and one round in the magazine.
Police say the victim told officers he was walking in the park when two guys, one wearing a yellow bandana and a burgundy sweatshirt, approached him from behind and called to him. As he turned, one took out a gun and pointed at him. Police say he ran, and the two opened fire, trying, but failing, to shoot him multiple times.
Davis was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and assault with a dangerous weapon. The teen was charged with being delinquent on the same charges.
Innocent, etc.

He, sounds like a bully with a firearm, very far from a "super predator" but definitely needs help & correction.
You, are pretty gross to think of that racist term first, and should contemplate why this kid makes you jump to equating him with such loaded slurs.
I thought yellow bandanas indicated..

You'd think BPD Headquarters would have cameras covering that area. It's not like this was the first time there was shooting reported in that area.

Anyone with friends younger than them becomes a man (or woman) who likes to hang with teens the day they turn 20. Even if they’re younger by just a few days.
What’s the big deal about having friends 2 to 3 years younger?
Not always a big deal, but

Not always a big deal, but this guy sounds like he was the "cool" senior who got all the social-outsider freshmen to start smoking cigarettes, and still hangs out with them several years after he left school, and also now he's getting them involved with guns and robbery. The older kid seems cool when you're younger at first... until you start to wonder why nobody his own age wants anything to do with him.
