Resident seriously injured in Jamaica Plain fire
The Boston Fire Department reports that a resident of 24 Union Ave. in Jamaica Plain suffered life-threatening injuries in a fire that broke out early this morning.
At approximately 04:00 hours @BostonFire responded to 24 Union Ave in JP. On arrival companies found heavy fire showing and a second alarm was ordered. The department reports heavy fire was already showing when firefighters arrived at 4 a.m. and that a second alarm was soon struck.
Damage is estimated at $350,000; the cause is under investigation.
