Police in Boston, Quincy, Norwood and Randolph, with help from State Police and US marshals, raided several locations in raids that kicked off at 5:45 a.m. in search of guns and drugs as a followup to arrests and gun seizures in a Dorchester park last November.
In Boston, police raided numerous locations, including two in Roslindale, on Birch Street, near Albano Street, in Roslindale and the Stony Brook Commons apartment complex off Enneking Parkway.
Boston Police report the raids stem from an investigation that started on Nov. 16, when BPD gang-unit officers looking for one guy with a gun at Dr. Loesch Family Park - formerly Wainwright Park - found him among a group of about 30 men and arrested him and two others and seized a total of six guns.
Among those arrested today on warrants out of Suffolk Superior Court: Shavea Fyffe, 26, of Randolph, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm. Fyffe is a former Roslindale resident with a record dating to at least 2014, when he was charged with pointing a gun at police during a chase in Dorchester.
Also arrested on warrants:
- Maliek Palmer-Robinson, 21, of Norwood, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm (second offense), unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a large-capacity firearm;
- Trevon Bell, 24, of Brighton, on three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition.
- Patrick Bishop, 21, of West Roxbury, on two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, possession of Class B drugs with intent to distributed and receiving stolen property;
- Keenan Monroe, 26, Dorchester, on charges of charges of unlawful possession of a firearm (second offense), carrying a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of a ammunition. He was also charged as an armed career criminal, which could mean a longer sentence if he's convicted of the other charges;
- Jaquori Lyons, 22, of Dorchester, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm;
- A 17-year-old was charged with being delinquent for [possession of a sawed-off shotgun or machine gun and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Innocent, etc.
