Live Boston reports a man was shot in the chest at 8 Brinsley St. around 11:15 p.m. on Friday. Neighbors said the man was just sitting on his porch, enjoying the nice night. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of his injuries.

When I lived in Dorxbury, this was a frequent fear of mine. I loved sitting on my front porch, chatting with the neighbors, but the occasional gunfire was (naturally) upsetting.
This easily could have been me, just sitting out on the porch like anyone.
Such a crappy situation.
