Massachusetts adults who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will get a shot at one of five $1-million prizes, while kids between 12 and 17 could get $300,000 injected into their 529 college funds, under a program unveiled today to try to convince people who don't think the threat of death or long hauling is quite enough of a reason to get vaccinated.
The state says registration will begin sometime between now and July 1. Every week for five weeks starting July 1, the state will draw an adult and a teen winner.
Do I have to be vaccinated before I submit my entry or before the drawing takes place?
Yes. You must be fully vaccinated prior to submitting your entry. This means you must have received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or one dose of J&J.
No word if they'll be bringing Dawn Hayes back to read the winning names on TV.
The site has a helpful link to the Massachusetts Problem Gambling Helpline for people who might sign up because of a gambling addiction.

Then most people will figure out that the odds of winning more than the face value of the ticket are awful. But the tickets will be still hanging on the rack at every gas station and convenience store in the state for the next three years, until the Lottery finally figures out that the game should have been cancelled and the tickets recalled a long time ago. In other words, like every other scratch game in the state.
So basically...
