But I think I read somewhere that when police are involved in an accident over 75 percent of the time they are ruled to be not at fault., Mathematically impossible? It may have been the Mass State Police, I'm not sure. .
Many police spend a lot of time behind the wheel...enough to get very good at not having accidents. When they are traveling at high speed, I concur that the likelihood of having an accident is greater, but to me being "at fault" only 25% of the time sounds about right.
Sooo... when faced with the decision to unharm a pedestrian vs. being cited by a tailgating cop for his own inability to stop appropriately, I guess the lesson here is to send some thoughts and prayers to the pedestrian?
Obviously, I'm joking. Everyone already knows the non-cop is screwed either way.

Hilarious
Vehicle A is following very closely behind Vehicle B. Vehicle B stops for a pedestrian. Vehicle A collides with the rear of Vehicle B.
Q: which driver is cited?
A: the one who’s not a cop. In this case the driver of Vehicle B, for “making an unsafe stop”
