Man shot in Nubian Square drive-by; suspect arrested

Boston Police report a man was shot outside 2360 Washington St., next to the Nubian Square bus stop around 1:30 p.m.

Not long after, police say, officers stopped a car spotted fleeing the scene at Warren Street and Dabney Place, found "ballistic evidence" inside and arrested Jason Collins, 47, of Roslindale, on charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

Innocent, etc.

Is this New Jack City? It's usually crowded around there, hopefully it wasn't a kid, I assume they will survive the shot

We can't have police everywhere all the time. But we will have it at one place all the time.

to keep beating a dead horse so much.

there has been no meaningful defunding - this person is unwittingly criticizing the existing system

You saying they didn't really mean it?

...that you're a feces-agitator.

What else do you want?

They heard the gunfire at B2.

to Uhub people, but daily happenings like this are fine. Crickets from those here that jump on the non shooty parts for being racist Trumpsters.

And in the case of the Nubian/Dudley Station area, 'yearly' would be a stretch. But the racist Trumpsters are racist Trumpsters 24/7/365.

There were multiple shootings in the city today before 4:00 PM, this just happened to be the only one Adam caught.

I’d guesstimate that only about 15-20% of our actual shootings are reported on here. And Adam is one of the few mainstream sources that actually covers those. It’s scary how little people care about what happens daily in the most violent neighborhoods.

Indicate that multiple daytime shootings on a given day are rare. So either this very expensive technology is failing wildly, or your statement needs some clarification.

And while neither are excused, most people don't rate a kid firing a gun over Franklin Park at 2AM as a 'shooting' on par with a targeted drive-by on a crowded sidewalk.

We can have more than one kind of hellhole.

WR resident here who was a few hundred feet away from shooting yesterday.

WR is not a hellhole and neither is Malcom X blvd... though the latter has more crime (at least reported crime).

I'm still on fence on what is worse - drive by shootings or racist Trumpsters /s
