Transit Police report arresting a man they say pushed a 92-year-old man to the ground, which opened up a bloody gash on his head after he hit the pavement yesterday afternoon.
Police say Armando Hernandez "forcefully shoved" the man from behind around 2:30 p.m. Arriving officers found the man bleeding from the gash on his head and "a concerned citizen attempting to control the bleeding."
They also found Hernandez just hanging out nearby - witnesses were able to point him out and officers found him in "an inebriated state" and not willing to talk. Police eventually concluded that "the attack was unprovoked and the victim has no familiarity with Hernandez."
He was then arrested and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60.
Innocent, etc.
