Ever Fortune in Boston Harbor

Adam Castiglioni watched a wicked big container ship pull into the Conley Terminal in South Boston this morning.

Julie Slootbeek alerts us it's the Ever Fortune, a two-year-old, 1,095-foot long ship flying under the Hong Kong flag that came through the Panama Canal on New Year's then stopped at Savannah, GA before arriving here.

Associated Press reports it's the biggest container ship to dock in Boston.

And, yes, it's owned by the same company with the ship that blocked the Suez Canal, but that ship is too large to come into Boston Harbor (it has a draft of more than 47 feet; the newly dredged channel in the harbor is 40 feet).

It's a photo of a ship, not an excuse to attack another commenter.

but that ship is too large to come into Boston Harbor

I don't see why that would stop it from trying.

Wouldn't that just be a reverse-Storrowing?

… Storrowing in the harbor would be perhaps a Burrowing?
