The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved letting a bank move into an empty space at 71-75 West Broadway at A Street in South Boston.
Now, unit owner Jay Goldberg will begin the process to select one to move in, his attorney, George Morancy, said.
Morancy said several bank have approached Goldberg about the space, but all had backed away because while the space, on the ground floor of an eight-unit residential building has city approval for use as a general commercial space, it was not specifically designate for bank use - until today's vote.

You get maple syrup for opening a new account. Interest is paid in bacon.
Is it real maple syrup?
