Live Boston reports a crash on Washington Street at Tremlett Street in Dorchester early Saturday left a woman dead.
Police responded around 2:15 a.m. to a large crash scene involving several cars, in which firefighters had to use the jaws of life to remove the two occupants of a black car, one of whom died at Carney Hospital nearby. Witnesses say the driver of that car and a silver SUV were driving parallel to each other when they made contact and spun out of control. The driver of the SUV tried to drive away from the crash, but when he couldn't, he and his passengers got out and ran away.

> At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing, but sources say charges are expected. Legal experts we spoke to indicated that the drivers of both vehicles will most likely face charges not only for the crash but also for the young woman’s death.
What good will that do?
Malone Kidanemariam and his friends left Rick Archer for dead after running him over. The DA had traffic camera footage, witnesses, and the guy walking right past a security camera trying to hide his damaged car.
One arraignment...and then he was gone. Nobody seems to know what happened to him. Did the DA drop charges? Did the case get pushed into a magistrate's hearing and then charges dismissed?
What good will bringing charges against the driver do if people can murder someone with their car and evaporate into thin air?
Broken System
What a broken system we have. Justice, punishment, healing, accountability, does any of it really happen? You'd think we would be fed up enough by now, but no, most of us just accept it as it is.
Charge the drivers with
Charge the drivers with vehicular manslaughter. What an incredibly dumb and avoidable way to die.
Manslaughter?
He who puts his pedal to the metal in a race such as this,, voluntarily... wouldn't that be self-inflicted suicide?
not when you kill your passenger?
The guy in the black car killed his passenger. Looks like he got away with really minor injuries.
I should've read the full article...
Vs the headline, thx
Not if it's a passenger who died
.
Here's a rare day
I agree with Kinopio. He surprisingly kept things on message. Every driver associated with this "race" should be charged with manslaughter. That would send a message that dangerous and possibly deadly actions have consequences.
