Roslindale man was speeding through Roxbury with a gun and a loaded magazine, police say

Boston Police report gang-unit officers and state troopers who stopped a car for driving too fast in a school zone Thursday afternoon arrested the driver after finding a gun and a magazine loaded with ten bullets.

Police say officers and troopers stopped Sedric Jackson, 20, of Roslindale at 360 Walnut Ave. in Roxbury around 3:55 p.m. and found the gun in a backpack and the loaded magazine. Jackson was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say.

Innocent, etc.

what magazine it was. "Guns and Ammo"? "Tactical Weapons"? "American Handgunner"? "Time"?

Is what's needed, the ones on the books already (which will be ignored by the court) are not working, a few more they can ignore should fix things.

If they were enacted in the states where so many of our guns come from.

And criminals ignore gun laws, how is more better?

Anything that makes guns harder to get is a help. Yes, harder for law-abiding people too. Lots of the guns that wind up on our streets are bought legally by gun traffickers in lax-law states, or stolen from legal buyers. Reduce the number of those guns, and there will be fewer in the hands of criminals.
