Clouds seen through the old Blockbuster sign that still stands by the side of American Legion Highway, in the mall where the Popeyes is in Roslindale.

I was recently in this strip mall with my 9 year old. He noticed the sign. He thought it was the remnants of the sign from another, still running, chain of retail- I don't remember which one. Blockbuster meant nothing to him.

so I may be towards the tail end of those who had the thrill of their parents taking them to Blockbuster and letting them pick ONE movie. That was a character building experience that we are depriving today's kids from having.
Ha I was lucky and we usually got 3 movies for the weekend....

At the blockbuster on the VFW in West Roxbury.
Way back when I remember there was a place on Washington St. on the Dedham/WR line (damn the name of that place is escaping me!....It was Video....something.), and also the Videosmith on the 2nd floor of the Chestnut Hill mall before it moved downstairs next to the Legal Seafood.
