Boston city councilor forced to play tour guide for befuddled Sox fans at Haymarket after T kicks them off the Green Line but doesn't tell them how to get to Fenway

Boston City Councilor Kenzie Bok (Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Fenway, Mission Hill) is pissed with the MBTA tonight ,after finding herself surrounded by Sox fans at Haymarket station who had been kicked off trolleys shortly before 7 p.m.:

Hey MBTA, I shouldn’t be the one explaining to all these stranded Red Sox fans, who you just kicked off Green at Haymarket because of the train stuck in the tunnel at Kenmore, how to take the orange line and walk to Fenway Park instead. Need T Ambassadors & shuttles here ASAP!

And, yes, she also posted a photo of some of the disgruntled Sox fans.

Great now every politician running for elected office will make up stories on how they suffered PTSD while riding the terrible T.

Show me where she claims to be traumatized by this. She was there when an issue happened and is highlighting the issue. You are reading way into her Tweet

I'm curious about what route she recommended.Which Orange Line station, Back Bay, Mass Ave, or Ruggles? If it was Ruggles (right answer), did she send them around the fens, or through them (right answer, part two)? It would be a pity for them to miss that little glimpse of the Emerald Necklace.

You've never actually been to the Fens, have you?

So, you've never been anywhere in that neighborhood beyond the phragmites.

Got it.

At one point they were running a shuttle from Ruggles to Fenway. No clue if that's still active.

They ran the shuttle in the late 1990s - early 2000s until the contract with Paul Revere bus lines ran out. The only shuttles that run now are the MASCO shuttles that run from Ruggles to the parking lot at Lansdowne Station.

In fairness, Boston sports fans are the fucking worst people to deal with on the T. I’d rather be sandwiched between a nodded-out junkie and someone cranking it under their overcoat than listen to some dickhead from Braintree tell Asher and Ashleigh how many more stops til Fenway compulsively.

...loudly (LOUDLY) complaining about how crowded it is, all the while taking up much more space than the average commuter and shouting over and through other people to make their point to Hunter and Dylan who wouldn't know it was crowded otherwise.
