Self Righteous Petah
He posted a video of him riding between the Ames Building and the Cambridge Street Whole Foods last week blowing through 5 red lights and not yielding for a pedestrian at Court Square. Loosah.
But bikes!
According to the uhub bike brigade
Running a red lights should be punishable AT MOST by a $5 ticket. So he’d be on the hook for $25. That will really prevent the behavior.
Too funny!
UHub’s two bitterist car junkies lost no time on pouncing on this story.
If I’m remembering correctly
You said the dirt bike and four wheelers driving around on city streets causing chaos were just having ‘fun’, right? You never did sent me your address so I could direct them to your house so they could do burnouts and wheelies all over your front lawn.
No
Wrong.
I don’t discuss this stuff with you anymore because I’m beginning to think you’re becoming unhinged.
You are correct, Lee
It was DPM. I apologize.
https://www.universalhub.com/comment/892586#comment-892586
More lies precious?
Could you point out where DPM said that? The only comments they made on that thread with the letters to spell "fun" showed up in the word "funeral"
I love that I live rent free in your head
I will say though - it smells like cheese and there’s not enough garage parking
Couldn't answer the simple questions?
Seems to be a fairly consistent theme with you.
https://www.universalhub.com/comment/911000#comment-911000
You told me not to respond
Now you want me to respond? Clearly unlike yourself, I have other things to do aside from uhub. Daddy needs to work a little harder so he can afford that McLaren 720 or 458 Ferrari. It’s a difficult choice, but a good one to have.
Remember Rob, those are the rules you made!
https://universalhub.com/comment/910460#comment-910460
Now please, skip the deflecting and enlighten us, I did on that thread after you posted that!
Cars, what’s your point?
I stand by the percentages that a higher percentage of bikes break laws, or in other words, bikers are more entitled and feel like they can do whatever they want.
For the future - you go rabid with questions in your posts and ask a bunch all at once. I’m not ignoring them, I just don’t have time to answer each one.
Haha you finally back yourself into a corner!

https://usa.streetsblog.org/2018/01/03/study-cyclists-dont-break-traffic...
Seems like motorists are the more entitled ones here Robert. While the percentages of law breaking are about the same (which you agreed with) the volume of cars on the road mean they are breaking far more laws and make the road much less safer than cyclists! Remember, 80 percent of 100 is a smaller number than 80 percent of 10,000,amirite?
Now don't go and deflect to another bit about that just proves we shouldn't build bike infra, yadda yadda. One hopes this finally squashes this bad faith argument that you always dish out.
Thanks for playing!
Lying again Robbie

Isn't that whataboutism John?
hahahaha
Oh honey
Time for your metamucil again?
Get a life.
You Are Like Four Years Away...
From Social Security eligibility.
Tell me more about going to see bands at Jack's and Cantone's old maid.
Not about age
It is about being so constipated that your eyes are brown.
Normal people would look at that picture and see cyclists celebrating in costume. They wouldn't go into a long-winded diatribe with spurious drunken rebuttals that can all be summarized with the simple phrase "THOSE BIKERS ARE MAKING MY DICK SHRINK AND SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR MAKING MY DICK SHRINK!!!!!"
I still go to live shows on weekdays, toots, because I have the stamina to dance my ass off and still go to work because I put as many miles on a bike in a year as I do a car.
Don’t you ride an ebike?
Lol
For commuting, yes
Just picked up a sick little full carbon, full ultegra rig on the used market for when I don't need to keep up with traffic.
The entire battery on the e-bike holds 430 calories, and that will last me 70 miles. Throttles are illegal in MA and I'd just get a scooter if I was going to do that.
Sorry to have missed it.
Looks like fun.
Maybe next year!
I Know
They are riding right in front of Macy's on Washington Street where a homeless person lit themselves on fire last year and you made fun of it! Ha Ha.
You have a twisted mind Pee Wee.
I wonder what kinds
of things you contribute to your community, John, besides whining about constructive things that city residents are doing from your suburban perch.
Illegally taking over streets and running red lights
And stop signs is constructive?
Got something you should read
It is called your driver's manual.
And you should sit at an intersection, video, and then come back and report on how many people in cars you see running lights, box blocking, etc.
Except you probably can't count higher than 11.
Percentages are important, swirls
You should take your own advice and count the number of cars and bikes going through an intersection and the number of cars and bikes running red lights. Then divide the number of bikes running red lights by the number of bikes going through the intersection and multiply by 100. Do the same for the car counts.
Guaranteed the percentage of bikes running red lights is significantly higher than cars.
Why are you limiting it to just red lights?
How about rolling stops? Stopping in the crosswalk? Box blocking? Double parking? Speeding? Operating a cell phone? Honking horns for non-emergencies?
Data is very important but of course the parameters are important too.
Is this data being gathered at just one intersection? Rush hour and the weekends?
Also, do you care to follow up on the data here?
https://universalhub.com/comment/910382#comment-910382
Or answer the question here?
https://universalhub.com/comment/910507#comment-910507
Remember, f you respond with anything aside from an answer, you’re deflecting.
https://universalhub.com/comment/910460#comment-910460
I’ll give ya this
You win at being exhausting. Are you bringing up these additional criteria because you agree that there will be a higher percentage of cyclists running red lights? It appears to be the case.
First link: Not sure what your point is here. I agree, fault can be mirky, but it’s irregardless (;)) of how much harm was inflicted. With that said, if a cyclists runs a red light and gets hit by a car, the cyclists is in clear fault. Additionally, what happens when a cyclist runs a red light into my brand new V10 R8? Doubtful they’d stay on the scene if given the choice and of course the cyclist doesn’t have any insurance to pay for the tens of thousands of dollars in damage (carbon fiber can’t be repaired and must be replaced $$$$).
Second link: I agree that cyclists shouldn’t be penalized the same or more than a vehicle for running red lights. However, cyclists presently have zero penalty for such behavior and, as Lee mentioned below, actually justify the illegal behavior of running red lights in the name of safety. If the penalty for a vehicle running a red light is say $250, I think a fair penalty for a cyclist is $50. There needs to be some skin in the game to prevent the behavior. In fact, I’d be happy bumping the vehicle penalty to $500-$1000 per offense and keeping the cyclist at $50. There’s zero reason for either mode of transportation to be running red lights.
All of this discussion with you further solidifies my point that cyclists should be a registered mode of transportation and should probably be required to carry some insurance too.
No penalty.
There is no justifiable reason to subject any road user to having to make a snap judgement on whether to not risk their life and maybe have to pay $50. or not risk the penalty and possibly be injured or killed.
I see we are deflecting
Only reason I listed the others is because all rules of the road need to be followed, right? Did you deflect because you know the overall law breaking numbers will be higher for motorists?
Also please remember these studies and provide any counter data you can find. If you respond with anything besides that, then its more deflection:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2019/05/10/cyclists-break-far-f...
https://usa.streetsblog.org/2018/01/03/study-cyclists-dont-break-traffic...
First link, you never provided data on secondary causes of car crashes on that thread and you were asked twice:
https://universalhub.com/comment/910377#comment-910377
https://universalhub.com/comment/910382#comment-910382
The rest of your deflecting response conjures up a very carefully crafted case that seems very very rare and anecdotal. Extra points for adding the cyclist leaving the scene of crash causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage. Seems a little made up.
Second link, you're bringing up Lee and deflecting further. Stay on target. There is a penalty for running a red light on a bike, its clearly in the MGLs. You're issue is with a lack of enforcement.
We already exhausted the red herring of registering and licensing cyclists because you couldn't address the logistics of how its handled, paid for, managed and how it applies to children.
Again, your issue is with a lack of enforcement but do deflect further while complaining about cyclists deflecting hahahaha
Edit: And you also failed to provide further insight to the data collection questions, par for the course Robbie!
Not deflecting
Trying to provide some focus here. Yes, agree - all rules of the road need to be followed.
First link is a Danish study. You seriously think you can equate American cyclists and Danish cyclist? I’ve never met a more entitled group as American city cyclists.
Second link says drivers and cyclists break road rules equally. Proves my point.
My R8 scenario is not made up. It happened to me (fortunately a long time ago and in a much less expensive vehicle) and what am I supposed to do chase after them with my car in the intersection? Plus, they’re on a bike and I’m on foot.
Bringing up Lee is not even close to off topic. Just look above your post. That’s the mindset for why red light runners need to be punished. In their mind it’s normal and the law is stupid to begin with. There’s a massive difference between someone doing something they know is wrong vs someone doing something they think is right, but really is illegal. Agreed on the enforcement, but that’s above my pay grade, and hopefully Wu will start enforcing these illegal activities.
Red herring enforcement? Again, above my pay grade, but maybe start with hiring more cops to enforce traffic laws. Let me guess - you’re still part of the defund the police movement that has all but died out because violent crime is way up YoY in almost all cities.
No substance at all per usual
Now a simple question, if motorists and cyclists break the law at the same rates but there are more motorists on the road, which group has the higher number of law breaking?
By your own rules you are deflecting, I'm sorry Rob but rules are rules, you shouldn't even bother responding hahahahahaha
EDIT: Also I never advocated for defunding the police, so that deflection is well wide of the net.
Suggestion for next year’s Halloween costume.
Start collecting bike reflectors now, Bobo. You’ll complete your look as the World’s Greatest Deflector when you cover yourself in them from head to toe.
Citations and statistics needed
Please supply actual facts, or just fucking read what spin has posted.
We can all see that math and statistical inference are not your strong suits, but don't pronounce someone "exhausting" when you have yet to cite a single reference for your tiresome repetitive compulsions.
They did it differently this year
@robo check this out
https://halloweenbikeride.net/how-were-riding/
They seem to have taken your concerns seriously while planning this years ride.
The second video above says different
The mob is blowing through a solid red light. It was never green in that video.
You do realize ...
That some segments of these rides have cops corking intersections for them, yes?
No no, you don't get it
The cops are in on it too, the Evil Cycling Lobby has infiltrated their ranks and they now bow only to Big Bike.
Not even noon
And drunk already, Johnny?
Sounds like you’re becoming unhinged also.
Delusional.
Being the self absorbed blowhard …
… that you are, John Boy, I’m not surprised at your envy and false accusations.
Your pretense at outrage for law breaking rings more false every time you throw this particular temper tantrum. What really sparks your road rage is that you can’t run a red light in your car because you’ll end up in legal trouble for having killed or injured someone or you might be broadsided yourself. You don’t dare.
But when you see a cyclist using a red light same pedestrians do, your me first mentality kicks in. You have no real concern for pedestrians or cyclists that might be harmed. Nor, being a pigheaded egotist, can you accept the fact that going through a red light is a well known safety strategy for cyclists so that they are not stuck at a red light with a bunch of potentially cyclist hating or just plain ordinary distracted motorists pulling up behind them in prime position to run them over. This is the real cause of your blustering rants.
Case closed.
Deploy the thumbtacks!

Now, now
Micropenis is not something that results from anything but unavoidable biology. Don't diss guys with issues that they can't control.
Let's come up with something that shames the stupidity, not picks on a small segment of outliers.

You don't want to escalate, hon.
Cyclists have been very patient with the amount of blocking of bike lanes.

Oh man. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Thank you for that one
Wow
You really need to get a life, too.
Perhaps you shouldn't have swiped left on Johnny?
So that is what is making that rattling noise…

I like the bikes with the lighted spokes.
I looked into that a few years ago and it was ridiculously expensive. Should I get another bike I'll see if the prices have come down. I bet you can do custom messages using a smartphone or something now.

I got one as a gift some years ago. The prices are very reasonable.
