I used to work in the Design Center and sitting on the edge of the pier watching cargo ships unload was a nice way to spend a late afternoon in the summer. Also much fun watching the ship in the drydock when it’s in use. Go to the upper floors of the Design Center for a better view; just get off the elevator and look out the window.

The author is right about food on the weekends. The place is a ghost town. You can’t even get a coffee without a considerable walk. Even the DD is closed.
