The MBTA reports things are back to what passes for hunky dory on the Red Line now that they've disposed of a train with a "mechanical problem" at Fields Corner, so the governor should have no problems as she takes a ride on the Red Line at 12:30 to show her concern about T issues - from Park Street to South Station, from which she is supposed to walk to the T operations center on High Street, which, based on the continuing extra time between trains on the Red Line, is still understaffed.

and then walk to High Street?
I see my vote may have already been wasted on window dressing.
Hop on the BC trolley at 9:30 on a fall Saturday night by Blandford Street and see if the Gov thinks more service is needed.

That's a total of two stops, not even a mile! Why dont they just walk from park street to south station? The governor and security detail can even do a warrant sweep through downtown, check for any truant students, pick up a few synergies, and take out the trash. And give all the people asking for money outside South Station and Downtown Crossing $50 each. That's Real public service!

Hey, all those extremely short T rides Charlie Baker took did a lot of good. Why stop now?
Too bad the Gov doesn't live near a T stop

Oh, wait.
Start taking the Red Line every day, Gov. (When you're fed up, you can get a Commuter Train once an hour too. Or a bus to Lechmere.)
It will be interesting to see

If the phalanx of state troopers assigned to guard the Governor pay their fare or fumble at the fare gates looking for spare change.
Maybe a hand off ...

They're not required to pay a fare. "Massachusetts State Police troopers and police officers and firefighters in towns within the MBTA's service area ride the T for free when in full uniform and wearing an official badge."

It'll only take them about another 45 seconds apiece (or 8 hours, the way state troopers measure time).
I can only hope

I hope Healy gets to experience a train stuck in the tunnel with no announcements, or better yet announcements that cant be heard on the decades old speakers in the train.
Or better yet, how about a train with a nodding drug addict, some teenagers fighting, some guy with his music blasting on his phone, a "preacher" yelling homophobic Jesus stuff, and someone with no mask coughing and sneezing right next to her.
Then I hope the train finally pulls into the station where everyone is told to get off and go upstairs for shuttle busses. Then the real fun will begin.
