Police in Salem douse Rocket Power in Orbeez attacks

Salem Police report arresting a Florida Man, who goes by the name of Rocket Power (since they're polite, police referred to him as Mr. Rocket Power), for toodling around Witch City shooting people with an Orbeez gel-ball gun.

Police say the other two people in the car reported picking up Mr. Power and that the three took turns shooting each other with Orbeez until one of them got the bright idea to shoot other people with them from the car. They say Rocket Power is 20, which means his parents just might have been young enough to watch the Nick cartoon of the same name, although police did not speculate on that.

Rocky was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in what police say was the second incident in a month in which an Orbeez gun was used in the commission of a crime in the city. Police add you should wipe that smirk off your face because the gel balls can cause serious injury when fired from an Orbeez gun.

Innocent, etc.

"Florida Man" hasn't been associated with genius recently. Florida may need to spend a little money on PR to show prejudiced northerners like me that there are more illustrious men to be found in that state.

It's not like it's just Florida Man. A quick search reveals dozens of methed-out women getting arrested down there.

Going to war with drag queens, banning kids books, and the Kingdom of the Mouse.

Assault with a deadly weapon certainly seems like an overreach.

Gel balls won't cause injury.

This statement is so wrong I had to respond to an anon. I hate responding to anons; But this anon is endangering the health of our youths by posting this egregious statement.

Us old timers remember when BPD also used "non-lethal" weapons in an attempt to control a riotous bunch in Kenmore sq after a football game.

An untrained officer shot at one person, missed, and ended up killing an innocent college student. So much for non-lethal.

... To Rocket J. Squirrel? He's a fairly good friend of Bullwinkle J. Moose.

People tend to let their freak-flag fly in Salem, but usually they just turn up in the clothes that they wouldn't dare wear at home.

... in Salem

Well, I let their teeny minds think
That they're dealing with someone who is over the brink
And I dress this way just to keep them at bay
'Cause Halloween is every day, hey

My favorite thing about Ministry (which doubles as the only thing I know about Ministry) is that one of the band members is now a business editor at the Globe.
