Green Line delay due to AC problem was listed; T tried to fix it, nevertheless, it persisted

The Red Line had its share of problems yesterday, but the Most Broken Transportation Authority award for Saturday has to go to the Green Line, on which the afternoon turned into rides from hell over and over again, including the train that had to be taken out of service at Haymarket because of an Elizabeth Warren of an air-conditioning problem:
Green Line: Delays of about 15 minutes due to a Trolley with an air conditioning system problem at Haymarket. An Official tried to overcome the problem, but it persisted. Trolley is being sent to Riverside for adjustments.
Other delays:
Green Line: Delays of about 10 minutes due to a Trolley with a mechanical problem at Government Center. An Official is responding to attempt to troubleshoot the problem.
Green Line Update: Delays of about 25 minutes due to an earlier disabled Trolley between Copley and Government Center.
Green Line: Outbound delays of about 10 minutes due to a Trolley with a bridge plate stuck on the platform at Museum of Fine Arts. An Official is heading to the scene to troubleshoot the problem.
Green Line: Delays of about 10 minutes due to a Trolley car with an electrical problem at Copley. An Official is on the scene attempting to troubleshoot the problem.

Green Line bollixing
I was there at the new Union Square station, hoping to take a ride from there to North Station (mainly to avoid the notorious slow zone on the Orange Line between Sullivan and Community College), but due to the delays between Government Center and Copley, I and other passengers sat there for a good half hour before I got up and ended up taking the Route 91 bus back to Sullivan and went back to Forest Hills.

It sounds like they should be sending mechanics and electricians.
Delay on CR as well
The CR from Newburyport-Rockport had a delay of about 45 mins as well. The Boston-bound train I was on stopped at Swampscott around 8 PM and announced a bridge collision would hold the train there until further notice. Additional announcements stated that a boat had struck the drawbridge or associated pilings at the Saugus River just inbound of the Riverworks stop.
As we waited we were told that the train would be annulled and they would order up shuttle buses, but right on the heels of that they said a quick inspection found no problems and that we could proceed and crawl over the drawbridge, which we did.
While waiting, those less inclined for adventure left the train and ordered up ride shares. A couple of bicyclists also left, but a majority of passengers, including some with bikes remained, willing to see how things panned out, and they did eventually.
To the crew's credit, they did keep us informed as best they could but it was clear that they were not getting much info themselves. However, rail operations radio does not include passenger info always, so from what they could get, they shared.
And given the situation, they never did collect tickets so we had a freebie.
