15 Glenville Ave
abuts the parking lot behind 161 Harvard Ave, not 12 Glenville and not Commonweath Ave.
Not where you expect it
There have only been 6 murders in Allston and Brighton (3 in each) since the start of 2013.
Guns are … bad actually?
But....
...the chances increase exponentially in the
Glenville Ave. area
Good Grief
Long-time Allston resident here (no, we're not all a bunch of partying students, those are just the more visible ones).
There was a stabbing recently right outside Jackson Mann school, not long before I went there to vote. And now this, just a couple of short blocks from where I live, at a location that I walk past all the time.
Gives a creepy feeling, although probably of less practical consequence to me (less of a realistic threat) than the skyrocketing rents.
Note to Adam
161 Commonwealth Ave is way downtown where the rich folks live.
The parking lot where the shooting took place is behind 161 Harvard Ave.
Arrgh, yes
And that's what BPD wrote and I should know the difference (having once lived at both 1127 and 1653 Comm. Ave.). Fixed.
Address?
161 Commonwealth?
That's not in Allston. The 7-11 at the corner of Harvard and Commonwealth is 1227 (former site of Marty's.)
But this is unsettling news. Past mayhem could get bloody, but a fatality was rare.
