Man charged with a shooting near Ashmont station
Boston Police report a man arrested Friday on gun charges was later also charged with shooting a man Talbot Avenue at Dorchester Avenue last Sunday, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries.
Police say officers responded to 567 Talbot Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday on reports of a shooting to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say Irvin Woods, 27, of Dorchester, was initially arrested yesterday on charges of illegal possession of ammunition, illegal possession of ammunition, driving without a valid license and driving with an open container of alcohol.
After further investigation, detectives were able to determine that Woods was involved in a prior incident shooting incident.
