Avoid windows tonight

So no snow (so what else is new?), but the National Weather Service has a high-wind warning in place between 8 p.m. and 2 p.m., Thursday, with possible gusts of up to 60 m.p.h. here in the Greater French Toast Region:
Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
Also, there's a coastal-flood warning for low-lying areas between 6 and 10 a.m. on Thursday, so you might want to reconsider that trip to Malibu Beach:
One to two feet of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways

Honest Question
What do you do if you live on the third floor of a triple decker at the end of a block surrounded by trees? It’s not like I can go anywhere else
My situation exactky. Does
My situation exactky. Does the old tape across the windows practice work?
Depending on the tape...
...how it's applied, and the nature of the breakage, it can potentially keep window glass from spraying across the room, yes.
Weather panic
Weather has become another monster under the bed, having lived in Dot through many a storm I can say that it was always more likely to see a window blow out of new Hancock on a nice day than see all the 3rd floor windows on Draper St blow out on a windy day as I made my way to school. If it bleeds it leads, get to the grocery, Home Depot, go in the cellar, we are being constantly frightend. What really should scare us, oh well.....
The issue isn't windows getting blown out (or in)
The issue is tree limbs and stuff getting hurled into them.
I could be wrong
but I don't think the National Weather Service really makes money based on what kinds of weather advisories they put out.
Tape on windows and tinfoil
Tape on windows and tinfoil over where brains should be
Oh dear
The AI is getting stupider.
