Five shot, one just 11, on Greenwood Street in Dorchester; baby and toddler found uninjured in car with windows shot out

Boston Police report five people were shot at 10 Greenwood St. in Dorchester shortly before 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

All the victims at a birthday party were 21 or younger, including one 11-year-old. Police found three victims outside, two in a second-floor apartment.

Nearby, at Washington and Morse streets, police found a car with shot-out windows - and a baby and a toddler in the back seat. They were not injured.

Officers found shell casings in a lot across the street.

Don't they already know all of a few hundred people responsible for all shootings in the city? Why the need for a tip line.
