Woman charged with ending fight by running over another woman in South Bay parking lot, DA says

A South Boston woman faces charges that she ran over another woman in the South Bay Mall parking lot off Allstate Road shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, in part based on the "red residue" police found above one of her car's rear tires, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Amina Wilcox, 31, was released on personal recognizance at her arraignment today in South Boston Municipal Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (her car) and leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury - but will have to wear a GPS device - the DA's office reports, adding prosecutors had asked Judge Steven Kim to set bail at $10,000 cash.

According to the DA's office, Boston Police officers responding to a report of an assault and battery in progress found the victim, 33, "laying down in the backseat of a gray 2021 Mercedes-Benz with numerous cuts and scrapes to her limbs and blood coming from her mouth." They also found "numerous articles of clothing scattered across the parking lot:"

As Boston EMS readied the woman for transport to a local hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, police talked to witnesses, including one who reported seeing a gray vehicle hit the woman, run over her and then drag her. Another reported seeing a woman, later identified as Wilcox, fighting with the victim before getting into the gray car and running over her opponent.

Police found Wilcox's gray, 2010 Camry, parked and unoccupied, near McDonough Way, the DA's office reports.

Officers observed minor damage to the front bumper and what appeared to be red residue above the back right tire. Officers located Wilcox at her residence and placed her under arrest. Wilcox informed officers her minor children were with her during the incident and they were her "witnesses."

Innocent, etc.

… in these situations. We need more of them on the roads so everyone can solve their arguments this way.

Minor children should be installed permanently in all cars to serve as witnesses.

What is the matter with society that criminals like this are permitted to drive? Have custody of children?

I am guessing that these particular minority witnesses have, in fact, witnessed plenty. Here’s hoping this incident leads to positive intervention on their behalf.

As if family supported crime was commendable.
“Is a faithful member of such and such church” is another.
It’s like the government is throwing dog biscuits to certain less powerful hierarchical male led organizations that would not hesitate to overthrow the government given the opportunity and considers the government an usurper.
