For second time in a year, Irish pub grub to make way for Latin fare, this time in Charlestown
Update: Approved.
The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to approve Matthew Sullivan's plan to change his eponymous Sullivan's Public House at 85-87 Main St. in Charlestown into a taco joint called Town Taqueria.
Nobody spoke against the proposal this morning and assuming the board approves the DBA change tomorrow, Town Taqueria could be open in November.
Sullivan bought an older cash-only bar called Sullivan's Pub and re-opened it as a more food-centric Sullivan's Public House in 2022.
Earlier this year, the board approved the sale of the venerable Blarney Stone in Dorchester's Fields Corner to a new operator who is planning to turn it into a tapas place called Acapella's. The Blarney Stone held its last last call in August.
