Also known as the Alfalfa butterfly. It's native and thankfully isn't in threatened classification.

There's two in the pic actually. One in the back. Glad to see butterflies, we need more of them (they are pollinators, like bees)
I had several monarch butterflies this summer.. was good to see those around, esp in such a dense area. But bees and butterflies like my rear planter of wildflowers.
