Boston cop, security guard charged with running illegal underground club in Jamaica Plain

MassLive.com details the allegations against now suspended BPD officer Richard McDermott and BPHC security guard Luigi D’Addieco on charges they turned the basement of the storefront at 360B Centre St. in Jamaica Plain, which they'd originally leased to run an HVAC business, into an illegal nightclub.

Court records show both were indicted on Oct. 3 by a Suffolk County grand jury.

McDermott, 36, with 11 years as a BPD officer, was charged with running a gambling establishment, obtaining somebody's criminal records under false pretenses and witness intimidation. D’Addieco, 44, was charged with running a gambling establishment and withholding evidence from a criminal investigation, records show.

At their arraignments in Suffolk Superior Court on Oct. 24, both were released on personal recognizance. Both had trial scheduled for July 22, 2025.

Innocent, etc.

In the ramshackle barn-like building just up Hyde Park Avenue from the BPD evidence warehouse.

Just checked, Pulido is due out of prison on March 24 (his original sentence of 26 years was reduced to about 22). He's currently enrolled in a federal "residential reentry" program in New York City.

Ah, that figures.

Why?

I had to look it up too!

I wonder if any bands played there? There's a whole underground illegal band scene.

Phony HVAC salesman and pretend upholder of the law. He’ll feel some heat. Now that his cover has been blown. Atmospheric changes coming to this guy’s life soon.

If guilty as charged.

When I was a kid in the 80s. We were playing and accidentally discovered it when the door was open. A very friendly guy came out and asked us not to tell anyone.
