Man who stood out like a sore tomato is sought for robbing Back Bay market; police quickly IDed him because he dropped his wallet on the way out
Boston Police are looking for a Worcester man who wore a red hat and red clothes when he allegedly held up Wild Duck Marketplace, 717 Boylston St. in the Back Bay around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Nehmiah Montes, 47, allegedly had a knife with him when he grabbed money from the store's cash register.
Although officers did not find the distinctively dressed Montes when they arrived at the store, they were able to quickly suss out his identity because when he ran out and down Boylston towards Copley Square, he dropped his wallet, containing ID, on the ground.
If he looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-343-5619 or the anonymous tip line by calling 800-494-TIPS or by texting TIP to CRIME (27463).
Ironically, in 2018, Montes helped capture a store robbery suspect in Worcester - when police tasers failed to penetrate the man's thick winter coat and he kept running, Montes grabbed him and held him for pursuing officers.
Innocent, etc.

OR
Or that 2018 robber committed the perfect frame-job as revenge.
Happens all the time!
At least a few times a year you hear about some thief/robber/car break etc crime where the perpetrator leaves behind their ID. I wonder of the Bureau of Crime Stats has stats on that?
Tomatos may have sores, but
Tomatos may have sores, but they don't get sore.
I dunno
Guess you've never gotten into a beef with one.
Beefsteak tomato?
I see what you did there.
