The other day, Greg Cook took the Orange Line to Oak Grove, then walked about 15 minutes up to the Cascade, a 40-foot waterfall on Shilly Shally Brook in Melrose's part of the Middlesex Fells. He has more photos at the link, and more specific directions.

I cannot say that I have ever been there, it looks colder than where I live so no thanks.

I know it gets confusing with Millis, Medway, Milford, Melrose, Malden, and Medford. Who really thought that was a good idea??
Who, you ask?

Probably the same person who gave us Wilmington, Wakefield, Woburn, Winchester, Watertown, Waltham, Weston, Wayland, and Wellesley all within a ten-mile radius, with the towns of Westford, Westwood, Walpole and Weymouth just a few miles away!
Looks correct to me

Oak Grove station is in Malden. You walk into Melrose to reach this waterfall.
