Man, his dog found dead at a houseboat in Charlestown

Update: Police say Joseph Donohue, 65, was stabbed repeatedly.

Boston Police report they are investigating the suspicious death of a man on a houseboat at the Charlestown Marina off Shipway Place in Charlestown.

Officers went to the man's houseboat around 10:40 p.m. Sunday after somebody requested a well being check. They found the man dead and the body of one of his two dogs floating in the water.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine a cause and manner of death and positively identify the individual.

Police say a Boston woman was arrested at the scene, but on unrelated warrants.
