Man charged with sexually attacking woman at Broadway T stop

Transit Police report arresting a Somerville man they say grabbed a woman from behind as she went up the escalator at the Broadway Red Line station Monday night.

Police say Jose Nunez, 28, had his attack broken up by another man - who they say grabbed Nunez and pulled him away from the woman on the stairs around 7:15 p.m.

Officers approached Nunez and placed him into custody. According to the arresting officers Nunez admitted to the assault and stated "What's the big deal.... I wanted to do it."

Police say Nunez was charged with indecent assault.

Innocent, etc.
