UPDATE: Victim identified as Dwayne Thomas, 34, of Dorchester.
Boston Police report a man was found shot at 39 Hartford St., near Chamblet Street, around 2:45 a.m. The man, in his 30s, was declared dead at the scene, police say.
This is Boston's 16th murder in 2018; the eighth in Dorchester.

I will keep the family in prayer. I hope they find the heartless individual or individuals responsible! I am tired of reading these tragedies in the news. It scares me to think what will the summer be like. The community needs to step up and assist with getting these scumbags of the streets. The Lords sees everything!

homas, Dwayne Keon, of Boston passed tragically on April 28, 2018. He leaves his loving parents Dwayne "Gannie" Thomas and Alvenia Reeves both of Boston.
He was a loving father to Damari A. Thomas and Asha S. Thomas. He leaves his brothers Dwayne A. Beech and Brian Thomas, his only sister Latanya R. Thomas.
He will be forever missed by his maternal grandparents Clara and Alton Reeves, paternal grand mother Lenora Johnson and predeceased by his paternal grandfather LC Thomas.
He also leaves eleven aunts, five uncles and a host of other relatives and friends to cherish his memories.
Visitation with family on Friday, May 11, 2018 from Morning Star Baptist Churvch, 1257 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA 02126.
Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the church.
Private interment will be held with St. Michael Crematory, Roslindale, MA.
