Jamaica Plain woman arrested for second time on charges she was driving around Dorchester with a loaded gun

UPDATE: Bail set at $15,000, per the Suffolk County DA's office.
Boston Police report arresting Verenisa Valdez, 25, of Jamaica Plain for driving a car with an expired registration and for possession of the loaded .45 caliber Glock 38 handgun they say officers found inside her car when she was stopped on Washington Street near Norwell Street in Dorchester around 9:35 p.m. on Monday.
In addition to charges of carrying a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say, Valdez was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, second or subsequent offense.
On March 14, 2014, Valdez was arrested on Ashmont Street in Dorchester for driving with a suspended license - and possession of a loaded gun. She was found guilty and sentenced to 18 months in jail in that case, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Linked site has bad cert
My browser reports that bpdnews.com doesn't have its own cert, which is somewhat odd.
Yeah, it's been about a week now
They used to be just plain old http but probably went to https because it's the thing to do nowadays, only the cert looks like it's in the name of their ISP, not for their URL specifically, so it's basically blocking everybody with modern browsers who don't want to disregard their browser's advice and not look at the site (I live life on the edge, of course ...).

They're using squarespace which is supposed to handle cert management automatically, but I'm not going to go poking at a website with an expired/otherwise invalid cert from here, so buyer beware.
I've changed the URL to point to the Facebook version
They cross post BPDNews stuff there (and yes, I realize some people have an issue with Facebook, too, but at least you won't get an ominous SSL warning).
I also sent @bostonpolice a message on Twitter, just in case they weren't aware.
Perennial problem
For whatever reason, this has been an on again off again problem at bpdnews for a few years now. It is disconcerting that a police website has this problem

The obvious URL would be something like police.boston.gov or www.boston.gov/police
bpdnews.com always provokes an "is this legit?" concern.

She was arrested for THE SAME THING 4 years ago.
She will be back out in no time doing the EXACT. SAME. THING. in no time.
Law-abiding gun owners are not the problem. Dirtbags like this woman and inept judges are the problem.

So she should be charged with illegal possession, and for being a fu$#king idiot - for the second time.
Sadly she is still young (and our courts are a joke) so I'm sure we will be reading about this drain on society many, many more times in the near future.
Should be a minimum 10 year sentence. If we want to get serious about gun control, the punishments need to be equally serious. Period.
