After teen shot on Mission Hill, three arrested with a gun in a car matching one seen fleeing the scene, police say
Boston Police report arresting people from Hyde park, Quincy and Roxbury on gun charges last night after they allegedly ran a red light at Norfolk and Flint streets in Mattapan in a car that matched the description of one fleeing a Mission Hill shooting earlier in the day.
An inventory of the vehicle prior to towing yielded the discovery of a Smith & Wesson SD40 .40 caliber firearm loaded with seven rounds of live ammunition. The firearm was located underneath the driver’s seat with the muzzle facing the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Driver Jada Love Scott, 18, of Hyde Park and front-sea passenger Raqael Cristina Cruz, 20, of Roxbury, and rear-seat passenger Johnnie Baskin, 19, of Quincy, were charged with unlawful possession of a firearem, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a large-capacity firearm. Scott was also charged with driving with a suspended license, police say.
