Live Boston reports a man was shot in the hip at 15 Valencia Rd. in Hyde Park around 2:35 a.m. Due to the severity of his injuries, the homicide unit was called in.
In 2019, BPD conducted a drug raid there.

Sorry, maybe I should be more explicit in the future - when the homicide unit is called in, it doesn't mean the victim is dead, but that he or she is in bad enough shape you want homicide detectives to start an investigation just in case. Fortunately, Boston has some really good hospitals and doctors, so a lot of people who might once have died pull through.
