Man charged with Blue Line stabbing last month

Transit Police report arresting a man they say ended an argument on an outbound Blue Line train by taking out a knife and stabbing his verbal opponent as the train idled in Maverick Square around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 29.

Police responded to Maverick to find the victim bleeding from stab wounds.

Following an investigation, police yesterday arrested Javier Garcia, 40, of Boston. on charges of assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injuries.
