Man charged with unprovoked stomping at Charles/MGH

Transit Police report arresting a Roxbury man they say began punching somebody in the back of the head until he fell to the ground, after which he repeatedly kicked him in the head, on the outbound platform around 5:50 p.m. yesterday.

Police say Gaven Gordon, 26, was arrested not long after at Downtown Crossing.

His victim was taken to Massachusetts General for care. Police say that as Gordon was stomping the victim, several bystanders started yelling at him to stop, at which point he fled.
