Man charged with December shooting near Readville train station

Boston Police report arresting a Hyde Park man yesterday on charges he shot somebody on Hyde Park Avenue at the Father Hart Bridge around 4:20 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Curtis Swain, 36, was arrested on Maple Leaf Drive, off Turtle Pond Parkway, around 10:40 a.m. after officers on patrol spotted his car, police say.

Swain was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say. His victim survived, police say.
