Apartments, cars shot up in Dorchester, possibly by running group of men who failed to hit their targets

Update: Three arrested on illegal-gun charges.

Gunfire in the area of Brunswick and Normandy streets shortly before 10:30 p.m. sent bullets into apartments on Brunswick and Intervale streets and left three cars with fresh bullet holes.

No injuries reported.

Two suspects were detained on Lawrence Avenue and three guns were recovered on Brunswick Street.

In addition to the two apartments, numerous shell casings and bullets were found across the area as well as in the Brunswick-King park and behind the Frederick School, all possibly fired by a group of men running through the area and firing at another group of men, whom they missed completely.
