Man sleeping on floor of Red Line car bites, head butts and punches officers who woke him up, police say

A man was ordered locked up today when he couldn't make $2,500 bail on charges he sent one Transit Police officer to the hospital with a "serious bite wound" and attacked another when awoken on the floor of a Red Line train at Park Street yesterday morning, according to Transit Police and court records.

But even if Hamed Ranemimche, 25, had had the money, he would have remained behind bars because Boston Municipal Court Judge Richard Sinnott revoked his bail in three earlier cases dating back to 2023, records show.

Transit Police called Raneminche "an obscenely violent male" who reacted to officers telling him it was time to get up and off a Red Line car at Park Street by going into full attack mode.

Ranemimche was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and trespassing, court records show.

Innocent, etc.
